*These are North American units and
you will be required to provide an adapter for your current country's
voltage. We will not accept credit
cards due to an increase in fraudulent orders, only direct bank transfers,
postal orders, certified and personal checks ( once cleared ) will be

Make sure the power
supply is fully secured during the whole process of Firmware Upgrade. We
recommend to use as fully charged batteries and AC Power Supply together for
un-interrupted power supply during the Firmware Upgrade.
1. Download and save
the appropriate firmware to your hard-drive. Unzip the WinZip compressed
file and an "executive file" will be generated.
2. Execute the
generated file and "iMP-350.hex" file will be re-generated.
(iMP-350 means the Product ID number.)
3. Make an Upgrade CD
by burning "iMP-350.hex onto a blank CD-R disc or CD-RW disc. In case
of CD-R, you can not re-use the CD as Data CD after upgrade. CD-RW disc can
be re-used as Data CD by erasing the "iMP-350.hex" file after
up-grade.
4. Connect iMP-350 to
AC adapter.
5. Insert Upgrade CD
into iMP-350.
6.
Press Play Button to permit Power Supply to iMP-350. LCD display will show
"iRiver" Logo and "Loading" during the course of
firmware upgrading. Blinking display is normal during upgrading. *DO
NOT TURN THE MACHINE OFF DURING UPGRADE* *IF NEEDED CHARGE BATTERIES FULLY
BEFORE UPGRADE SO THE MACHINE WILL NOT TURN OFF DURING UPGRADE*
7. After completion,
power will shut down automatically.
8. Remove Upgrade CD
from iMP-350.
9. Now, enjoy iMP-350
with upgraded Firmware.
